High-Pressure Fogging

Our High-Pressure Fogging system utilizes high-pressure pumps and purpose-built nozzles to atomize water, creating very fine droplets that quickly evaporate in the air stream.

This evaporative cooling effect can reduce the air temperature by 15°C (27°F). This type of air cooling system is best suited for arid climates, where humidity can be efficiently increased without negatively impacting THI. It also operates effectively in humid climates on their hottest days, as the relative humidity is usually much lower.

Most importantly, a well-designed system will create a comfortable environment for your employees and cows without adding moisture to the beds or feed. This ensures clean, healthy, and happy cows year-round.

Recommended use

  • In a Cross-ventilated or Tunnel-ventilated barn, the High-Pressure Fogging system should be installed at and near the inlet to maximize cooling efficiency.
  • In a naturally-ventilated barn, the High-Pressure Fogging system should be installed over or on fans to ensure equal distribution of the fogging.
  • Work best with CYCLONE FANS

Combined with circulation fans over the feedlane, our feedlane soaking provides unmatched heat abatement. Evaporative cooling will quickly reduce your cows’ body temperature, preventing heat stress on hot summer days. We recognize that no two projects are the same, which is why each system is custom-designed by our soaking specialists to meet the specific needs of your facility and climate. The soaking cycles are adjusted based on THI (Temperature-Humidity Index).
